The CORONA OVALE BURGTEC OVAL THICK-THIN GXP BOOST 3 MM OFFSET offers the mechanical advantage of greater transmission. Through numerous tests of different prototypes with varying amounts of ovality, it was found that 115% (from the center at the top) is optimal. This has adequately reduced the dead spot and has given the same perfect chain retention and quietness as round chainrings. Shortening the dead spot at the top and bottom of the power curve allows you to return sooner to the power phase of the crank rotation.
MAIN FEATURES OF CORONA OVALE BURGTEC OVAL THICK-THIN GXP BOOST 3 MM OFFSET:
All Burgtec chainrings are +/- 2 teeth, therefore: 30T has a combination of an increased power phase of 32T and a dead spot of 28T. 32T has a combination of an increased power phase of 34T and a dead spot of 30T.To choose the right corona, stick to the one currently mounted.

BUILT BY RIDERS: The Status 2 offers a super strong M5 aluminum frame and robust alloy wheels. RIDE DYNAMICS TUNING: Our Specialized Ride Dynamics team developed the kinematics and refined the geometry to offer a snappy and lively bike, suitable both for technical singletrack and for jumping down a flight of stairs.
CUSTOMIZATION: Every STATUS 2 model is equipped with flip chips (located on the Horst pivot link, near the rear axle) that allow the rider to precisely adjust the frame geometry according to the desired riding style or terrain. The bikes are shipped in the high position, but by turning the flip chip, the bottom bracket is lowered by 8mm and the head angle becomes more relaxed. Loosening them: bottom bracket 8mm lower and head tube angle will be half a degree slacker.
