The Gripton compound uses "synthetic rubber reinforced with silicon dioxide," which reduces the amount of energy lost through hysteresis. This means the tire deforms less easily, less heat buildup, and a more efficient tire with improved wear resistance compared to natural rubber. The Gripton compound is soft and adapts to rough surfaces as well.
