The Specialized Hillbilly tire is perfect for use on the front on intermediate routes and soft terrain: when the ground changes from compact to soft the small knobs penetrate the soil for a better connection with the trail, while the side knobs provide grip in fast corners on all types of terrain.
The GRIPTON® compound is perfect for damping high frequencies, improving contact between the rubber and the ground. The low frequencies of the flexing of the rolling tire pass through unfiltered, do not absorb energy and speed remains high.
The BLCK DMND casing is the best combination between flexibility and extreme protection against pinch flats: to descend at full speed you need as much grip as possible, the tire must maintain contact with the ground and at the same time must resist pinch flats.
To obtain this feature, only the part with the tread has to adapt to the terrain, it must provide grip and absorb impacts, while the rest of the casing must provide stability and support for precise handling.
