SmartGrip Gravity compound
The SmartGRIP Gravity compound is the racing-ready option of the Scorpion MTB range, a formulation derived from a decade of know-how in motocross and from the valuable advice of former downhill world champions. Thus a softer compound was created, resistant to tearing, with higher grip in every weather condition, excellent handling and control at high speeds with a monocomponent formulation. SmartGRIP Gravity is the answer to all bikers seeking a reliable tire to tackle every type of trail in training and competition thanks to the consistency of its performance over time and in every weather condition.

HyperWall
A new construction that improves handling and puncture protection at low pressures, key factors in off-road applications, especially in the more demanding and aggressive ones like Gravity and e-MTB, where the robustness of the sidewall and the stability of the shoulder are fundamental pillars in performance. This innovation derived from Pirelli's motocross experience features a taller rubber reinforcement on both shoulders joined to an additional fabric layer that connects to the bead, stabilizing it (+10%) and protecting and increasing resistance to pinch flats by 50%. Reaching a level of stiffness and stability at sidewall loads typical of downhill tires, without the weight burden of a traditional twin-wall. All this translates to lightness, tread flexibility and thus grip and handling even at low pressures (+25%).

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless ready tires offer the biker many advantages: the possibility of using lower air pressures, which improve traction; lower rolling resistance compared to a tire with an inner tube; lower risk of punctures because there is no inner tube. Tubeless ready tires must be mounted on compatible rims and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain the pressure. Liquid sealants have the additional advantage of sealing small punctures. Be sure to regularly check the sealant and replace it if necessary, as it dries out over time.
