The new P Zero Race TLRs are PIRELLI's first tubeless technology product fully made in Italy, at the new Bollate factory.

The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the most performance-oriented tire in the PIRELLI portfolio, as well as being the first tubeless technology tire entirely made in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing involves using a blend mixed with aramid that coats the tire's inner layer, improving both rolling resistance and tire durability. Result: a tire that is less rigid but faster. The compound maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance PZERO tires.

TECHNOLOGIES

SmartEVO Compound

The racing formulation for road use, more advanced than ever, born from Pirelli's experience in top Motorsport competitions and from the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and rolling resistance. The ternary polymer blend with "intelligent" behavior characteristics forms the basis for the exceptional properties of the SmartEVO compound, enabling better grip on dry and wet surfaces while simultaneously improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance blend tuned for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local races or World Tour events to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tires that excel in all circumstances. SmartEVO is exclusively used in the P ZERO range.

SPEEDCORE

The most performance-oriented tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range uses a layer of aramid-reinforced compound that coats the tire's inner layer, providing air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant thanks to the presence of aramid, yet at the same time less rigid and faster, due to greater flexibility of the compound compared to bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a 120tpi Nylon fabric and a puncture protection layer, also in aramid.
