The new P Zero Race TLR are the first PIRELLI product with tubeless technology made entirely in Italy, in the new Bollate factory.

The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the most high-performance tyre in the PIRELLI portfolio as well as being the first tyre with tubeless technology made entirely in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120 tpi casing involves the use of a compound mixed with aramid that covers the inner layer of the tyre, improving both the rolling efficiency and the durability of the tyre. Result: a less rigid but faster tyre. The compound instead maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other tyres of the PZERO high-performance gamma.

TECHNOLOGIES

SmartEVO Compound

The most advanced racing formulation ever for road use, nata from Pirelli’s experience in top-level Motorsport competitions and from specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each of which provides performance in a perfect balance of opposing characteristics, such as grip and smoothness. The ternary blend of polymers with “intelligent” behaviour characteristics as base of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound allows better grip on dry and wet surfaces while also improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance compound developed for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local races or the World Tour to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tyres that excel in all circumstances. SmartEVO is for exclusive use of the P ZERO gamma.

SPEEDCORE

The most high-performing tubeless-ready road structure of the Pirelli gamma involves the use of a layer of compound mixed with aramid that covers the inner layer of the tyre, ensuring air retention. This new structure makes the tyre more resistant, thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to the greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a tela in 120 tpi Nylon and by a puncture-resistant layer, also in aramid.
