The new P Zero Race TLRs are the first PIRELLI tubeless technology product entirely made in Italy, at the new Bollate factory.

The new generation of PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in the PIRELLI portfolio, as well as being the first tubeless tire entirely made in Italy. The introduction of the SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing involves using a mixed aramid compound that coats the inner layer of the tire, improving both rolling efficiency and tread life. Result: a tire that is less rigid but faster. The compound also maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with other high-performance PZERO tires in the range.

TECHNOLOGIES

SmartEVO Compound

The racing formulation for road use on the most advanced roads, born from Pirelli’s experience in top Motorsport competitions and the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a three-polymer blend, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and rolling efficiency. The ternary polymer mix with “intelligent” behavior features forms the basis of SmartEvo’s exceptional properties, enabling better dry and wet grip while improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance compound designed for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces demand tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is exclusively for the P ZERO range.

SPEEDCORE

The most advanced tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range uses a layer of aramid-reinforced compound that coats the inner tire layer to ensure air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant thanks to the aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is completed by a 120tpi Nylon layer and a puncture layer, also aramid.
