The new P Zero Race TLR are the first PIRELLI product with tubeless technology made entirely in Italy, in the new Bollate factory.

The new generation of PZERO Race TLR is the highest-performing tyre in the PIRELLI portfolio as well as being the first tyre with tubeless technology made entirely in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120 tpi casing involves the use of a compound mixed with aramid that coats the inner layer of the tyre, improving both the smoothness and the resistance of the tyre. Result: a less rigid but faster tyre. The compound instead maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the altri high-performance tyres in the PZERO gamma.

TECHNOLOGIES

The most advanced racing formulation ever for road use, nata from Pirelli's experience in top Motorsport competitions and from specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each of which provides performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and smoothness. The ternary blend of polymers with “intelligent” behaviour characteristics as base of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound allows for better grip on dry and wet surfaces while improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance compound fine-tuned for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tyres that excel in all circumstances. SmartEVO is for the exclusive use of the P ZERO gamma.

SPEEDCORE

The highest-performing tubeless-ready road structure of the Pirelli gamma involves the use of a layer of compound mixed with aramid that coats the inner layer of the tyre, enabling it to hold air. This new structure makes the tyre more resistant, thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to the greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a tela in Nylon with 120 tpi and by a puncture-protection layer, also in aramid.
