The new P Zero Race is the first PIRELLI product made entirely in Italy, at the new Bollate factory.

P ZERO™ Race is designed to offer all the benefits of tubeless technology in a versatile, race-ready tire, delivering performance surpassing any bicycle tire made so far, including tubulars. P ZERO™ Race combines the advantages of tubeless technology with an all-round cycling tire for intense training sessions and races. The TechBELT Road carcass improves puncture reliability without adding weight, while the special SmartEVO Compound blend enhances grip on dry and wet asphalt compared with our previous cycling compounds.

TECHNOLOGY

SmartEvo compound
The racing formulation for the most advanced road use ever, born from Pirelli’s experience in top Motorsport competitions and in collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEvo Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and rolling resistance. The ternary polymer blend with “intelligent” behavior characteristics forms the basis of SmartEvo’s exceptional properties, enabling better grip on both dry and wet surfaces while also improving puncture resistance. SmartEvo Compound is a high-performance blend tuned for cycling’s most modern disciplines, from local races to World Tour events, to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces demand tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEvo is for exclusive use with the P ZERO range.

TechBELT Road
The 120 and 60tpi carcass with an additional nylon puncture-reinforcement layer under the tread makes it an extremely reliable configuration capable of providing high comfort levels for any use, from training to daily commuting. The TechBelt Road structure is exclusively used in the P ZERO range.

Optimized for modern 19C rims
Pirelli P Zero Race has been developed and optimized for new rims with 19C inner width; the best performance is achieved based on wheel size and rider weight to calculate the optimal operating pressure. Due to construction and adaptation to current standards, each size of P ZERO Race features a wider tread than the corresponding P ZERO Velo: a larger and longer contact patch, benefiting rolling efficiency, puncture protection, and cornering control.
