The Maxxis Rekon Race 29”x2.25 Exo TR Dual 120 Tpi tire is the latest new entry from MAXXIS in terms of XC tires.
To be used as a rear tire combined with a front tire with a more aggressive tread, or front and rear for fast XC races on dry/hard terrain or medium compact surfaces.
Used by Nino Schurter to triumph during the MTB World Cup, this semi-slick tire borrows its tread design from the trail version of the Rekon, but with smaller and lower knobs.
Designed with a high-volume casing to glide easily over the most treacherous roots and rocks, while the DUAL compound offers optimal cornering traction and long durability.

- TR TUBELESS READY: The MAXXIS TR tubeless ready version provides the rider with many advantages: the possibility to ride with a lower tire pressure, which greatly improves traction; lower rolling resistance compared to a tire with inner tube; reduced chances of bottoming out the tire. Maxxis TR tubeless ready tires have the same advantages as UST tubeless tires without being penalized by the higher weight. For the TR version a standard casing is used and therefore requires the use of sealant for air retention. Maxxis TR tires are the only tires approved for use with sealant.
