The Minion DHF tire by Maxxis was created to race in the NORBA Downhill championship, as it is able to accompany the rider on any type of trail, even the muddiest or most unstable. The tire features both ramped knobs, ideal for reducing rolling resistance, and knobs with a central channel to increase biting edges, provide stability on the straight and in corners. The Minion DHF tire is well suited both as a rear and as a front, or solo on the front if combined with the DHR; in addition, it is equipped with the triple compound rubber mix (3C) MaxxGrip which offers excellent grip and a low rebound rate.

Technologies:

• TRIPLE COMPOUND 3C MAXXGRIP: Triple downhill compound, perfect for Enduro and DH. It offers excellent grip and a low rebound rate for unmatched grip and traction in downhill.
• EXO: extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of MTB tires. This layer, obtained with an ultralight dense weave, does not affect the performance of the tire.
• TR TUBELESS READY: The MAXXIS TR tubeless ready version provides the rider with many advantages: the possibility of riding with reduced tire pressure, which greatly improves traction; lower rolling resistance compared to a tire with an inner tube; fewer chances of having the tire on terra. Maxxis TR tubeless ready tires have the same advantages as UST tubeless tires without being penalized by the higher weight. For the TR version a standard casing is used and therefore the use of sealant is required for air sealing. Maxxis TR tires are the only tires approved for use with sealants.
  Maxxis TR tubeless ready tires can also be used on non-Tubeless wheels with the use of an inner tube.
