The Minion DHF tire by Maxxis was created to race in the NORBA Downhill championship, as it is able to accompany the biker on every type of trail, even the muddiest or most unstable. The tire features both ramped knobs, ideal for reducing rolling resistance, and knobs with a central channel to increase biting edges, provide stability on the straight and in corners. The Minion DHF tire is well suited both as a rear and as a front, or solo as a front if combined with the DHR; in addition, it is equipped with the triple compound rubber mix (3C) MaxxTerra, which offers an excellent compromise with better traction and increased grip.

• TRIPLE COMPOUND 3C MAXX TERRA: An intermediate compound configuration is used on selected mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers greater traction than 3C MaxxSpeed; moreover, it is more resistant to wear and has lower rolling resistance.
• EXO: extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of MTB tires. This layer, obtained with an ultra-light dense weave, non affects the performance of the tire.
• TR TUBELESS READY: The MAXXIS TR tubeless ready version provides the biker with many advantages: the possibility of riding with a reduced tire pressure, which greatly improves traction; lower rolling resistance compared to the tire with camera d’aria; lower chances of having the tire on the ground. Maxxis TR tubeless ready tires have the same advantages as UST tubeless tires without being penalized by the higher weight. For the TR version, a standard casing is used and therefore requires the use of sealant fluid for air retention. Maxxis TR tires are the only tires approved for use with sealant fluids.
