GENIE—the flying carpet: The greatest innovation on the Stumpjumper 15 is GENIE. This pending-patent air spring technology we invented grants the three wishes of every rider: the feeling and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out resistance than a standard air spring, and an adjustable platform for a playful feel.

THE ‘GENIO’: GENIE combines the linear stiffness of a coil spring that improves control through the "shock zone" with the progressive curve of the air spring at the end of the stroke to prevent bottom-outs. Really, it’s the best of the two mondi – coil and aria – with extra adjustability. Say goodbye to compromises and welcome the futuro of suspensions.

WHICH IMPACT?: With 16.3% better impact force management than a traditional air-spring shock, GENIE makes the Stumpy 15 perform like a bike with greater travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 (with 145 mm of rear wheel travel) and our Enduro (170 mm of travel) both use 101 mm of stroke to absorb an impact force of 1080 N.

TRAZIONE A GOGO: Extensive field test show that Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE provides 57% better traction than a standard air-spring shock because GENIE technology offers supple, coil-like performance that keeps the wheel in contact with the ground for a higher percentage of the tempo compared to a typical air spring.

GOODBYE BOTTOM OUT: 39% fewer bottom-out events than a standard air spring. In caso of big hits, you will benefit from the progressive curve in the last 30% of the GENIE stroke. Thanks to the two-fasi behavior, GENIE reduces the frequency and severity of bottom-out events.

REFINED GEOMETRY: the geometry of this bike offers great capability when needed, agility in tight sections, and efficiency on climbs.
