The SPECIALIZED ROVAL RAPIDE HANDLEBAR COCKPIT 31.8X400 120MM, lightweight and aerodynamic, is perfect for quickly reaching the finish line. The handlebar was developed in collaboration with the best athletes of the Specialized team and with the Retül Fit team and is aerodynamic, lightweight, and stiff: the perfect mix to seize victory.
The absence of the linking components between the handlebar and the stem allows for an airfoil profile. A 4-watt improvement may seem small, but it results in a 32 cm advantage in a final 250 m sprint. When races are won by launching the bike, this is a winning difference.
Without the linking components between the handlebar and the stem, the Rapide Cockpit is 50 g lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) than the Rapide handlebar with a Tarmac stem combination. The handlebar is made of premium high-modulus carbon fiber, offering the stiffness ideal for the fastest and biggest sprinters on the World Tour and has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system ever produced by Specialized.
The 15 different combinations of stem and handlebar, all at -6 degrees, allow coverage of most race positions. The upward-to-downward reach has been sculpted for wrist mobility whether pedaling seated or standing and in aerodynamic position.
