The SPECIALIZED ROVAL RAPIDE HANDLEBAR 31.8 x 380 75MM, lightweight and aerodynamic, is perfect for quickly reaching the finish line. The handlebar was developed in collaboration with the best athletes from the Specialized team and with the Retül Fit team and is aerodynamic, lightweight and stiff: the perfect combination to seize victory.
The absence of the linkage components between the handlebar and the stem allows for an airfoil profile. A 4-watt improvement may seem small, but it results in a 32 cm advantage on a 250 m final sprint. When races are won by sprinting with the bike, this is a winning difference.
Without the linkage components between the handlebar and stem, the Cockpit Rapide is 50 g lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) compared to the Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem combination. The handlebar is made from premium high-modulus carbon fiber, which provides the ideal stiffness for the biggest and fastest sprinters on the World Tour and has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system ever produced by Specialized.
The 15 different combinations of handlebar stem and handlebar, all at -6 degrees, cover most race positions. The upward-to-downward radius has been sculpted for wrist freedom of movement both when pedaling out of the saddle and in aerodynamic position.
