The SPECIALIZED ROVAL RAPIDE HANDLEBAR 31.8X380 75MM, light and aerodynamic, is perfect to reach the finish line quickly. The handlebar was developed in collaboration with the best athletes of the Specialized team and with the Retül Fit team and is aerodynamic, light and stiff: the perfect mix to grab the victory.
The absence of the connecting components between handlebar and stem allows the creation of an airfoil profile. A 4-watt improvement may seem small, but it results in an advantage of 32 cm in a final 250 m sprint. When races are won by throwing the bike forward, this is a winning difference.
Without the connecting components between handlebar and stem, the Rapide Cockpit is 50 g lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) than the combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem. The handlebar is made from premium high-modulus carbon fiber, which provides the ideal stiffness for the biggest and fastest sprinters of the World Tour and has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system ever made by Specialized.
The 15 different combinations of stem and handlebar, all at -6 degrees, cover the vast majority of racing positions. The radius from the top to the drops has been sculpted for wrist freedom of movement both when riding out of the saddle and in an aerodynamic position.
