This monocoque carbon fiber handlebar and stem combo is lighter than an Alpinist handlebar and stem combined, while offering increased torsional stiffness for a more confident ride and improved aerodynamics at the bar-to-stem junction.
The revised and optimized D-shaped upper profile increases the contact surface for the hands, reducing pressure and significantly improving vibration absorption. This translates into less rider fatigue when riding on rough asphalt. The slight 4° flare in the bend area reduces forearms contact with the top of the handlebar when riding with a low grip, while also improving control and steering precision, especially at high speeds when descending.
Subtle graphics, internal cable and brake routing, and a clean aesthetic round out the Roval Alpinist Cockpit II, making it an excellent comfort and performance upgrade for any road bike.
