The total speed has always been the Demo's goal, and with the Demo Race, it is no different. Introducing a new flexible frame design that allows riders to leverage a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel, it’s a special mix that has long been tested by the world champion Loïc Bruni in pursuit of the perfect balance between traction and handling, but it was only approved last year by the UCI. Not that this prevented the Demo Race from winning both the Downhill World Championship and the overall World Cup title in its first season...

Now, we offer that same winning combination straight out of the box, with a adjustable rear end that still allows switching between 27.5 and 29 inch wheels depending on terrain and riding style, also adjusting chain length and bottom bracket height.

Extremely fast on tough trails, the Demo Race’s suspension design is built around a rearward axle path that reduces rear wheel hang-up, instead increasing speed.

Öhlins quality suspensions offer the most proven suspension dynamics in the World Cup circuit, and SRAM’s downhill-specific X01 drivetrain powers you from start to finish.

SPECIALIZED DEMO RACE 2024 KEY FEATURES:

  • The Demo Race M5 alloy frame is completely optimized to take advantage of the traction benefits of a 29-inch front wheel and the increased maneuverability of a 27.5-inch rear wheel, while maintaining the ability to change the rear wheel size to fit different terrains and riding styles with an adjustable rear end that ensures chain length and bottom bracket height stay perfect, regardless of wheel size.
  • The Öhlins TTX22M.2 coil shock is designed to tackle the World Cup Downhill courses, offering external low-speed and rebound adjustments, while the Trunnion mount provides extra bushing overlap for greater durability.
  • With excellent small-bump tracking and the ability to absorb landings even from heavier falls, the 200mm travel of the Öhlins DH38 m.1 fork will give you softer, faster, and safer descending feel than anything you’ve ridden before.
