The SPECIALIZED BICYCLE TARMAC SL8 EXPERT is fast, aerodynamic and light, delivering a ride quality never before achieved. Aerodynamics, lightness, and speed enable race wins. To achieve speed, a uncompromising combination of aerodynamics, lightness, stiffness, and vibration damping must be created.
The Specialized Ride Science Team has verified that the Tarmac SL8 is the fastest frame on any course: 16.6 seconds over 40 km of flat, 128 seconds faster on the Milan-Sanremo course, 20 seconds faster on the Tourmalet climb.
The bike is equipped with SRAM Rival eTap AXS with powermeter, carbon C38 tubeless-ready wheels, a SL7 stem with a Specialized Expert alloy handlebar.

SPECIALIZED BICYCLE TARMAC SL8 EXPERT MAIN FEATURES:

• The front end has been optimized to gain maximum advantage. The fork steerer tube is positioned rearward relative to the bicycle head tube to offer much lower aerodynamic resistance. Thanks to the new UCI rules, for the SL8 it was possible to mount a narrower and more aerodynamic seatpost to ensure that turbulent air in the leg area can flow more easily toward the rear of the bicycle.
• Frame weight of 685 grams, 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 and lighter than any other World Tour bike*. Maximum lightness possible in the down tube area, the seat tube, and the rear of the bike. The frame shapes respond so efficiently to stresses that the material thickness could be reduced, removing the superfluous.
• The stiffness-to-weight ratio is 33% better than the SL7. The frame is nimble and precise in the most demanding situations and responds immediately and efficiently to pedal inputs. The zones that ensure power transfer and steering precision are stiffer than ever; in the saddle the Tarmac SL8 is more comfortable, damping 6% more of the road shocks and allowing you to attack corners with a unique sense of agility and balance in the world of road bikes. The same geometry as the SL7 with the same generous 32 mm tire clearance, so you can use a larger-volume tire when needed.
