The Chisel is the lightest full-suspension alloy bike in the world. It is 18.4% lighter than similar models in its category and, thanks to the kinematics and geometry of its big sister Epic 8, the Chisel offers excellent performance on every ride.

SPEED METAL: Thanks to D'Aluisio Smartweld, the Chisel boasts the lightest XC aluminum frame in its category. Every frame tube is highly manipulated and features differentiated thicknesses and profiles that offer stiffness where needed, for efficiency, vibration absorption, optimal comfort and control.

CAPABILITY: With 110mm of travel suspension tuned with Ride Dynamics, the high-performance pedigree of the Chisel can be traced directly back to the Epic 8, our World Cup racing machine. The DNA of the Epic 8’s advanced suspension kinematics, the Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, and the progressive geometry refined on technical World Cup courses can all be found in the Chisel, making it more than capable of tackling varied terrain with confidence and speed.

EFFICIENCY: The Chisel is the most efficient bike in its category, thanks to the use of the geometry and kinematics developed for the Epic 8. The forward seat tube places the rider in an optimal pedaling position. The optimized anti-squat reduces pedal-bob. Put it all together and you’ll understand how the Chisel translates every watt on the pedals into maximum forward motion.

SMOOTHER IS FASTER: We designed the Flex Stay stays so that the suspension would be at the top of the category, while eliminating the added weight and maintenance of the pivots used by traditional designs. Extensive field and lab tests have shown that the Chisel has achieved the impossible: the efficiency, control, and light weight of the Flex Stay design – common on carbon bikes – with an advanced alloy.

HYDROFORMED ALLOY: The one-piece hydroformed seat tube includes the bearing seat and the bottom bracket shell, unlike a traditional alloy bike where the two components are welded. In this way, the Chisel shaves off additional material and weight.
