SANTA CRUZ V10 8 CC S MX BIKE

The Santa Cruz V10 8 is a pure downhill race bike , built on a top-level CC carbon frame, which guarantees maximum stiffness, low weight and exceptional strength , even on the most extreme DH tracks.

The MX (mullet) concept – a combination of a 29" front wheel and a 27.5" rear wheel – ensures the perfect balance between stability at high speeds and agility on the most technical sections , offering great safety on the steepest descents and in tight corners.

Suspension is handled by a sturdy 200mm RockShox BoXXer Base fork and a RockShox Vivid Select+ Coil rear shock , a combination that delivers precise control and consistent performance , even on the most extreme descents.

The V10 8 frame geometry was developed and refined by Santa Cruz Syndicate riders and features adjustable rear end length , allowing each rider to customize their riding position to suit the trail and riding style.

CC Carbon

In collaboration with our exclusive manufacturing partner, we are able to create what we call CC carbon frames: the strongest , lightest and best-performing in terms of handling. The wheels, drivetrain and suspension fitted to these models are also of the highest standard. The frame and components together create an extremely powerful complete package , capable of offering the best possible riding characteristics .

Virtual Pivot Point (VPP™)

Since 2001 , we have been using the Virtual Pivot Point (VPP™) suspension system to offer the best balance of pedaling efficiency and bump absorption , all in an extremely robust and reliable structure.

In essence, the VPP™ system uses two links rotating in opposite directions to create a “virtual” pivot point , or instantaneous center, that moves throughout the entire suspension travel and determines the trajectory of rear wheel motion. This virtual pivot makes the system highly adjustable , allowing for extremely precise handling characteristics and ensuring the best possible experience , regardless of which Santa Cruz model you ride.
