CASTELLI FREE PROTECT RACE BIBSHORTS

The CASTELLI FREE PROTECT RACE BIBSHORTS were created following requests from Chris Froome to make a short that could protect him during the first dangerous stages of the Tour de France. He wanted something to reduce road rash in case of a crash in those stages where everyone wants to stay at the front and crashes are frequent.
The shorts are made of Lycra® that slides on Lycra®: the best way to prevent or reduce road rash on the hips.
The Vortex fabric, placed on the outside of the shorts, is extremely resistant, while the internal stretch fabric made from Dyneema® further reinforces the shorts.
The Free Aero Race 4 Bibshort construction guarantees a high level of comfort.

CASTELLI FREE PROTECT RACE BIBSHORTS MAIN FEATURES:

• Double-layer side panels for extra protection in case of a crash.
• A special smooth layer of our Vortex fabric lined with a stretch fabric with tear-resistant Dyneema® fabric.
• Forza fabric in the area in contact with the saddle with 38% Lycra® for a perfect fit.
• Striped mesh bib straps with minimalist construction to keep the body cool.
• Giro4 leg gripper for better adherence to the leg distributed over a wider surface.
• Double V construction at the front for greater support and comfort.
