SALOPETTE CASTELLI FREE PROTECT RACE

The SALOPETTE CASTELLI FREE PROTECT RACE were created following requests from Chris Froome to design a shorts capable of protecting him during the early, dangerous stages of the Tour de France. He wanted something to reduce road rash from asphalt in those stages where everyone wants to be at the front and falls are frequent.
The shorts are made in Lycra® that glides against Lycra®: the best way to prevent or reduce road rash on the hips.
The Vortex fabric, positioned on the outside of the bibshort, is extremely durable while the elasticated inner fabric made by Dyneema® further strengthens the shorts.
The Free Aero Race 4 Bibshort construction guarantees a high level of comfort.

CASTELLI FREE PROTECT RACE MAIN FEATURES:

• Double-layer side panels for extra protection in case of a fall.
• A special smooth layer of our Vortex fabric lined with an elastic fabric with Dyneema® anti-tear fabric.
• Forza fabric at the saddle-contact area with 38% Lycra® for a perfect fit.
• Ribbed mesh bib straps with a minimalist construction to keep the body cool.
• Giro4 leg bottom for better leg adherence distributed over a wider surface.
• Double V construction on the front for greater support and comfort.
• Flatlock seams.
• X2 Air Seamless chamois.
