The ZIPP 404 FIRECREST TLR DISC 24 THRU AXLE 12 MM SHIMANO is a rear wheel perfect for always riding fast on the road. Thanks to the 58 mm profile this wheel is ideal on asphalt, in time trials, in triathlon and in gran fondos.
The internal width of 23 mm allows the installation of wider tubeless tyres with reduced aria pressure. This is an important component of Total System Efficiency™, or TSE™, a Zipp concept for speed on different road surfaces and in variable riding conditions. In particular, TSE™ focuses on overcoming specific obstacles to speed: Wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration loss. Zipp’s ABLC™-Sawtooth™ technology uses a sophisticated dimpling pattern that improves aerodynamic efficiency.
The hookless rim makes the transition between tyre and rim smoother and more aerodynamic, the material distribution is more efficient and the result is a lighter and more durable wheel.
