DT SWISS GRC 1400 DICUT 30 DISC 12/142 REAR WHEEL
A record-breaking off-road experience
In the split second when you leave la strada behind you, and your arms anticipate the transition to a rocky and lively terrain. The GRC 1400 DICUT is ready to tackle the vibrations and obstacles of a gravel route, so you can leave not only la strada behind you, but also your shadow and your inhibitions! Two distinct rim heights: take advantage of outstanding reliability and ride smoothly over tratti of gravel that sparkle like champagne or confidently face the unpredictability of unpaved rocky routes. 50 mm of aerodynamic optimization are ideal for hunting KOM/QOMs and for beating your friends on your favorite gravel segment. The low steering torque of the 30 mm-high rim guarantees the agility needed on long adventures, freeing you from any limits. Both rims come finished straight from the mold thanks to a new patented manufacturing process that eliminates the need for a final coating, making your wheelset light yet durable, while you stand out from the crowd. With the ideal performance/weight ratio of the 240 DICUT hub and the robust DT aero comp II spokes, the new GRC 1400 DICUT wheels can’t wait to leave la strada. Now it’s up to you to decide: are you on the hunt or do you want to stay out of the game?

Ratchet EXP
DT Swiss hubs are known for their no-tool technology. We have found a way to perfect this system and further simplify maintenance thanks to a slight modification of the bushings. Less weight: far more than just optimized reliability. The fusion of the corona dentata and the threaded ring into a single piece represents a major advantage, as it reduces the number of components in the system. Less wear: the use of a single cylindrical spring ensures faster full engagement, thus improving reliability. The full engagement of the toothed rings creates a large contact surface and therefore lower pressure loads, resulting in increased reliability. The integration of the bearing into the threaded ring makes it possible to maximize the distance between the bearings. This increased spacing ensures greater axle support and reduces its deflection, while at the same time optimizing the protection and durability of the bearings.
Aero+
The perfect symbiosis between resistance, handling, and efficiency. In perfecting a wheel according to the AERO+ concept, the optimization of the various parameters is aimed at a single objective: increasing speed! Translational drag is the aerodynamic force that slows the cyclist down in the direction of travel. This force depends on the frontal impact surface of the rider (75%), the road bike and its components (25%), as well as on speed. To minimize translational drag, the impact surface of the rider/bike combination must be reduced, optimizing its aerodynamics as much as possible. If you want to go faster, it is essential to reduce the aerodynamic drag of the rider/bike combination, since this force increases proportionally to the square of the speed. From 15 km/h upwards, aerodynamic drag is the greatest resistance that the cyclist must overcome. The front wheel plays a key role, as it accounts for 8% of total drag.
Tubeless technology
All DT Swiss wheels are compatible with tubeless technology, and the ASM versions are tubeless-ready, equipped with tubeless tape and valves. Tubeless tires offer several advantages over the traditional inner tube and tire combination: the tire can be inflated to lower pressure levels without the risk of pinch flats (the so-called “snake bite” punctures), while ensuring superior grip. Lower pressure provides greater comfort in sella and the absence of an inner tube eliminates friction between the latter and the tire, resulting in reduced rolling resistance over terrain and obstacles. The use of a sealant for the tubeless system allows the tire to self-seal punctures and small cuts. A great advantage for all those who love to ride for a long time and who, in case of problems, would find themselves several kilometers away from the nearest repair shop.
Spoke technology
The creation of high-quality spokes marked the beginning of the company. DT was the synonym for high-quality Swiss spokes even before the foundation of the current DT Swiss AG. Today, DT Swiss spokes are synonymous with durability and precision and, thanks to their exclusive production process, offer an unmatched combination of lightness and stability.
New molding technology for carbon rims
An innovative rim manufacturing process, unique in the industry, and non-destructive inspection of each product, layer by layer, make it possible to obtain light yet strong rims for a long-lasting riding experience. Traditionally, the industry standard is to build the carbon rim parts separately, which can lead to irregularities during assembly. Our new method allows us to create a rim that is particularly impact-resistant, in which the fibers of the outer layers are not cut, thus maintaining continuous threads in the impact areas. In this way, a more consistent structure is obtained, and imperfections are reduced to a minimum.
