The new P Zero Race TLRs are PIRELLI’s first tubeless technology product fully made in Italy, at the new Bollate plant.

The new generation of PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tyre in the PIRELLI portfolio, as well as the first tubeless tyre entirely manufactured in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi carcass involves using a compound mixed with aramid that covers the inner layer of the tyre, improving both rolling resistance and grip. Result: a tyre that is less rigid but faster. The compound maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance PZERO tyres.

SmartEVO Compound

The racing formulation for road use, more advanced than ever, born from Pirelli’s experience in top Motorsport competitions and the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each delivering performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and rolling resistance. The ternary polymer blend with “intelligent” behavior characteristics underpins the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound, enabling better dry and wet grip while improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance blend designed for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local racing or World Tour events to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces require tyres that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is exclusively for the P ZERO range.

SPEEDCORE

The most advanced tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range uses a layer of aramid-reinforced compound that coats the inner layer of the tyre, enabling air retention. This new structure makes the tyre more resistant thanks to the aramide presence, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is completed by a 120tpi Nylon layer and an anti-puncture layer, also in aramid.
