The new P Zero Race TLRs are the first PIRELLI product with tubeless technology fully made in Italy, at the new Bollate factory.

The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in the PIRELLI portfolio, as well as being the first tubeless tire entirely made in Italy. The introduction of the SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing involves using a mix with aramid that coats the inner layer of the tire, improving both rolling efficiency and tire resistance. Result: a tire that is less rigid but faster. The compound, however, maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance PZERO tires in the range.

TECHNOLOGIES

SmartEVO Compound

The racing formulation for road use more advanced than ever, born from Pirelli's experience in the top Motorsport competitions and the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each of which provides performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and rolling efficiency. The ternary polymer blend with “intelligent” behavior characteristics as the base of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound allows better grip on dry and wet, while also improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance blend tailored for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is for exclusive use with the P ZERO range.

SPEEDCORE

The most performing tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range provides the use of a layer of aramid-mixed compound that coats the inside layer of the tire, enabling air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant thanks to the presence of aramid, yet at the same time less rigid and faster, for greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a 120tpi Nylon carcass and a puncture layer, also in aramid.
