PEDALS HOPE UNION TC TRAIL
The PEDALS HOPE UNION TC TRAIL are designed for cross-country and feature a dual mechanism that allows easy pedal entry, secure cleat grip, and positive, consistent release.
The dual-clamp mechanism means the front clamp moves at pedal entry, reducing the effort required to engage the pedal, flattening the shoe entry angle, and providing a wider cleat entry angle, allowing the front of the shoe sole to approach the body of the pedal to increase stability. Cleat release is guided by fixed pins for easier and more uniform release.
The Hope-mounted mechanism uses a specific cleat that is not compatible with all other systems.
The pedals are sold with 2 cleat options: cleat number 4 offers 4° of float and a 12° release angle, while cleat number offers 5° of float and a 13° release angle with a greater release force for aggressive riding. Both cleats also allow 2 mm of lateral float (side to side).
The pedal body is CNC machined from solid and is designed to maximize contact between shoe/cleat and pedal body for greater stability and power transfer.
The platform of these pedals is larger and features 4 pins per side for greater contact with the shoe sole, greater stability, and even more aggressive guidance.
