The new Roval Rapide Cockpit is much more than the fastest way to reach the finish line. It is the fastest attack tool we have ever made, with major aerodynamic benefits, shaving a further four watts off the already very fast combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem. But to offer a winning advantage, you need more than pure aerodynamics. The goal for the Roval engineering team was simple: the Rapide Cockpit had to be the fastest handlebar we had ever made, with no compromises. It is aerodynamic, light, stiff and designed in collaboration with the best athletes in the world and our Retül Fit experts, so you can grasp victory.

SPECIALIZED ROVAL RAPIDE COCKPIT HANDLEBAR 90X400MM MAIN FEATURES:

• AERODYNAMICS: removing the connecting components between the stem and the handlebar allowed us to design the handlebar profile in a wing shape. We optimized this airfoil to provide maximum advantage in clean air at speeds found in long solo breakaways and also in all-out World Tour sprints. While a four-watt improvement may seem small, it results in an advantage of 32 cm in a final 250 m sprint. When races are won by throwing the bike at the line, this is a winning difference.
• LIGHT AND STIFF: By removing the connecting components between the stem and the handlebar, the Rapide Cockpit is 50 grams lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) than the combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem. Made of premium high-modulus carbon fiber, which offers ideal stiffness for the largest and fastest sprinters in the World Tour, the Rapide Cockpit has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system we have ever made.
• POSITION: The drawback of one-piece cockpits has long been positioning, but we worked with our Retül Fit professionals and top athletes to ensure that almost all riders can find their correct position in sella. We offer 15 different stem and handlebar combinations, all at -6 degrees, thus covering the vast majority of race positions. The radius from the top to the drops has been sculpted to allow wrist freedom of movement both out of sella and tucked in an aerodynamic position, while the bend and flare reflect our favorite Rapide handlebar.
• Designed with an aerodynamic profile for a 4-watt advantage compared to a traditional aerodynamic handlebar.
