The brand-new SPECIALIZED COCKPIT ROVAL RAPIDE HANDLEBAR 31.8X420/90MM is much more than the fastest modo to reach the finish line, as it offers major aerodynamic benefits, shaving an additional four watts off the ultra-fast combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem. The handlebar is aerodynamic, light, and stiff, and was designed in collaboration with the best athletes del mondo and Specialized Retül Fit experts.
The complete removal of the components that linked the stem and handlebar allowed us to design the handlebar profile in modo alare and provide both maximum advantage in aria pulita at speeds seen in long solo breakaways and in solo sprints. A 4-watt improvement represents a 32 cm advantage over uno final sprint of 250 m. When races are won by throwing the bike, this is a winning difference.
By removing the connecting components dell'attacco with the handlebar, this cockpit is 50 g lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) than the combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem. The cockpit is entirely made in premium carbon fiber ad alto modulo, which provides all the stiffness needed for sprinters and has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system ever made by Specialized.
The 15 diverse combinations of stem and handlebar, all at -6 degrees, allow you to find the right position in sella: the radius from the alto to the drops has been sculpted for wrist freedom of movement both when riding out of the saddle and tucked in an aerodynamic position, while the curvature and flare mirror the Rapide handlebar.
