• The Di2 system is perfectly integrated into the design of the bike with no visible cables that are too tight or worn and need replacing. The wireless shifting creates a clean cockpit, without cables and ports. And the internal Di2 battery is well hidden in the seatpost or frame.
• Shimano 105 diventa wireless. Precise and lightning-fast gear changes at the simple press of a button, without missing a pedal stroke, even when fatigue sets in or you meet an unexpected climb. The switch to electronics also allows you to shift under load, for example during climbs or sprints. Customize your shifting. Shift without loss of performance – from Day 1 to Day 1000. And enjoy the silence as you contemplate the mondo around you.
• The new 12-speed CS-R7100 cassette has the same width as the 11-speed cassette, so the spazio between each sprocket is smaller. This means shifts will be smooth and quasi imperceptible. Uphill, downhill or on the flat, always maintain rhythm and smoothness.
• A leap forward also for the Shimano 105 R7100 braking system thanks to technologies borrowed from higher groupsets and knowledge developed in the MTB field: greater quietness, more power and better modulation. The 105 BR-R7170 calipers feature greater spazio between the pads, improving hydraulic actuation for greater sensitivity, power and perception of modulation. The 10% increased pad clearance helps prevent brake pad rubbing.
