• The Di2 system is perfectly integrated into the bike design with no cables too taut, worn to be replaced. The Wireless shifting creates a clean cockpit, with no cables or ports. And the internal Di2 battery is well hidden in the seatpost or frame.
• Shimano 105 becomes wireless. Precise and lightning-fast gear shifts with the simple press of a button, without losing a pedal stroke, even when fatigue sets in or you encounter an unexpected incline. The move to electronics also allows shifting under load, for example during climbs or sprints. Personalize your gear changes. Shift with no performance drop—from Day 1 to Day 1000. And enjoy the silence while you contemplate the world around you.
• The new CS-R7100 12-speed cassette has the same width as the 11-speed cassette, so the space between each sprocket is smaller. Thus shifts will be smooth and almost imperceptible. Uphill, downhill, or flat, always maintain rhythm and smoothness.
• Advances also for the Shimano 105 R7100 braking system thanks to technologies inherited from higher groups and MTB development: greater quietness, greater power and greater modulation. The 105 BR-R7170 calipers feature increased pad spacing, improving hydraulic actuation for greater power sensitivity and modulation perception. The 10% increased pad distance helps prevent pad rubbing.
