The ZIPP 404 FIRECREST TUBELESS READY DISC-BRAKE CENTER LOCK FRONT WHEEL, with 12x100 mm thru axle and 58 mm depth, is perfect for tackling road races, time trials, triathlons and granfondos. The 23 mm width allows the use of wider tubeless tires at lower pressure.
This wheel is Total Efficiency System (TSE): an approach to speed in ever diverse road and riding conditions. TSE focuses on overcoming specific barriers to speed: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses.
Zipp’s ABLC Sawtooth technology uses a complex dimple pattern to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The use of hookless tires, on the straight side, is an integral part of Making You Faster: thanks to this system the transition between tire and rim is smoother and more aerodynamic.
Hookless rims have a more efficient resin distribution that makes the wheel lighter and more durable. The wheel is fitted with the versatile ZR1 DB hub.
