GENIE — The flying carpet: The biggest innovation on the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy is GENIE. This air-spring patent-pending technology we invented fulfills the three wishes of every rider: the feel and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out protection than a standard air spring, and an adjustable platform for a playful feel. THE 'GENIUS': GENIE combines the linear stiffness of the coil spring that improves control through the “hit zone” with the progressive curve of the air spring at the end of travel to prevent bottoming out. Truly, it’s the best of both worlds — coil and air — with extra adjustment potential. Say goodbye to compromises and welcome the future of suspensions.

WHICH TRAVEL?: With force management better by 16.3% compared to a traditional air-sprung damper, GENIE ensures the Stumpy 15 performs like a bike with greater travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy (rear travel 145 mm) and our Enduro (travel 170 mm) both use 101 mm of travel to absorb a 1080 N impact.

GOGO TRACTION: In-depth field testing shows that Stumpjumper 15 Alloy with GENIE delivers 57% better traction than a standard air-sprung damper because GENIE offers flexible performance similar to a coil spring, keeping the wheel in contact with the ground for a greater percentage of time than a typical air spring.

GOODBYE TO BOTTOM OUT: 39% fewer bottom-out events compared to a standard air spring. When you hit big hits, you’ll benefit from the progressive curve in the last 30% of GENIE’s travel. Thanks to the two-stage behavior, GENIE reduces the frequency and severity of bottom-out events.

PERFECTED GEOMETRY: the geometry of this bike provides great capability when needed, agility in tight sections, and climbing efficiency. The wide cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and cornering control. WHEEL CHOICE: With our aftermarket links you can choose large wheels on both the front and rear, or you can use a 27.5" rear wheel for a more responsive and playful ride. Whatever you choose, the geometry is not affected.

CARRY ALL THE NECESSARY GEAR: The SWAT 4.0 compartment on the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy increases space in the down tube, an innovation we pioneered.
