FOX 2023 FLOAT 38 27.5 F-S 170 GRIP2 HSC/LSC ORNG 15QRX110 R44 FORK

The FOX 2023 FLOAT 38 27.5 F-S 170 GRIP2 HSC/LSC ORNG 15QRX110 R44 is the long-travel Enduro specialist. Thanks to 170 mm travel and the same revolutionary features as the 36, the 38 redefines the characteristics of a long-travel single-crown fork and sets a new benchmark in terms of safety, performance, and durability.

The floating axles on this fork offer a clear performance advantage thanks to their unica ability to far match the exact width of the fork’s wheel mounting surface with the spacing of the front hub flange, thus creating a perfetto frame alignment and eliminating unwanted friction between the upper and lower legs of the fork. Floating axles ensure a much smoother suspension movement along the entire travel of the fork, greatly improving sensitivity and overall ride quality.
The fork is equipped with a new patent-pending quick-release lever floating axle system that combines the benefits of a floating axle with the ease of a tool-free quick release. With this system, the spacing is locked by a floating sleeve, allowing you to repeatedly remove and reinstall the front wheel while maintaining perfetto fork alignment. The positioning of the floating sleeve is factory pre-set, so if you’re not sure how to use the floating axle system or simply don’t want to deal with it, you can just install the front wheel and continue your ride.

When the fork compresses, the aria volume inside the lower legs decreases, increasing aria pressure. The more the fork compresses, the more pressure increases. This effect can have the undesired consequence of preventing full travel from being reached. Fox canali help alleviate this problem by drastically increasing the aria volume inside the lower legs, thus reducing the amount of unwanted additional pressure ramping.
Oil circulates in the upper part of the lower legs, continuously lubricating the foam rings and bushings as the fork compresses and extends throughout its stroke.

The bleed ports, positioned on the lower part of the legs, allow atmospheric pressure to be equalized with the simple press of a button. Pressure build-up in the lower legs drastically reduces fork performance, preventing maximum travel from being reached and decreasing sensitivity and responsiveness on small bumps.

The design of the lower part of the fork has been engineered to reduce every possible gram without compromising the stiffness and strength required by modern enduro and gravity bikes. The arco design has been engineered to match perfectly with modern Enduro and Downhill bikes. Head tube profiles have become increasingly larger and fork offsets increasingly shorter. The new forma of the arco accounts for this need, protruding forward to provide ample spazio for the head tube at maximum compression.

The GRIP2 damper is easy to adjust and offers ultra-precise ride control. The patented Variable Valve Control (VVC) technology allows simple and easy external adjustment with a simple turn of a knob.

EVOL technology increases the negative aria spring volume, optimizing small-bump sensitivity. The linear EVOL spring curve offers greater initial suppleness, more mid-stroke support, and a more tunable end-stroke progression. The benefits of EVOL are further underscored by the new fork bleed canali that work to reduce trapped aria pressure in the lower legs, allowing the EVOL aria spring to operate freely without unwanted interference.
