The Cervélo R5 Red XPLR AXS 1x is the new generation of Cervélo’s legendary carbon climbing road bike: incredibly light, stiff and ready to race at the highest level. It is the bike Pauline Ferrand-Prévot rode to victory at the Tour de France Femmes, and the heir to more than twenty years of R5 history, from the R5CA to Wout van Aert’s win on Mont Ventoux.
The Cervélo All-Carbon frame weighs just 651 g and the tapered R5 fork 298 g (size 56): frame and fork are 100 g lighter than the previous generation, and work on every Cervélo component brings the total saving to 326 g. In the RED and Dura-Ace builds the complete bike weighs 5.97 kg in size 56, a full 900 g under the UCI minimum of 6.8 kg, without sacrificing stiffness, acceleration or descending confidence.
