The new Áspero stays true to its original brief but is more aero, more comfortable and more versatile, with a wireless SRAM Apex XPLR AXS 1x12 drivetrain.
The Cervélo All-Carbon frame adds a threaded T47a bottom bracket, neater cable routing and a UDH derailleur hanger compatible with SRAM Transmission drivetrains. Here aerodynamics is mostly about saving energy: after a long day into a headwind, the 3 watts saved over the previous Áspero might mean one less energy gel to digest.

Comfort-focused gravel geometry
Compared with the first Áspero, the seat stays have been dropped for more compliance at the rear, and front-end stiffness has been slightly reduced to make the last hours of a long race less painful. Between the dropped stays there is also more mud clearance, drawing on lessons from the R5-CX and the 2023 Unbound mudfest. The result feels a lot like the original Áspero, but faster, more comfortable and more versatile.
