In developing the Dissident II we collaborated with athletes Loïc Bruni and Finn Iles to design a helmet that meets the needs of downhill race circuits. With five EPS inserts we managed to tailor the foam density according to its position inside the helmet — allowing us to create a lightweight helmet while also managing the energy of potential impacts in the best possible way. The softer foam absorbs more energy in impacts. The Dissident II helmet also features the MIPS Evolve Solution system — which helps redirect rotational movements of impacts. For the Evolve Solution we used fabric to secure the internal pockets, eliminating potential noise.

Freshness isn’t just a mental matter; it’s hard to concentrate when it’s very hot, especially if your head feels like you’re in a sauna. We therefore aimed to improve the ventilation system to bring in more air, with strategic vents to vent hot air, keeping the rider’s head cool and comfortable in any situation.

Especially in the context of a race, it’s very important that the helmet is cool, light, and unobtrusive, because it reduces rider fatigue and improves reactivity. The construction with inserts allows lightness without compromising protection. We don’t know what Finn Iles was thinking during his winning run at Mont-Sainte-Anne, but we know he didn’t have to worry about the helmet. The Dissident II is the perfect choice, whether you race World Cup events or local Enduro races.
