The Crux DSW is much more than the lightest alloy gravel bike ever made. We took everything we learned while creating the carbon Crux and made it in alloy, using our patented D'Aluisio Smartweld technology. We created the most capable, agile, balanced, and responsive alloy gravel bike ever made for fast, fun, and high-performance riding. And yes, it’s also the lightest. Some might call it a carbon copy, but we call it the Crux DSW.

Weight

At only 1399 grams*, the Crux DSW frame is the lightest alloy gravel frame in the world. Combined with our Fact12r Crux carbon fork and a high-performance build, the Crux DSW weighs 9.37 kg on the scale: no alloy gravel bike can compete.

Capacity

More space means more capacity: hence the Crux DSW has the same tire clearance as the carbon version: 47 mm and up to 2.1" with 650b wheel. With a sturdy, light alloy frame and wide-section tires, the Crux DSW can take you anywhere, at full speed.

Responsiveness

Responsive to pedaling and springy in the saddle. We used D'Aluisio Smartweld to highlight the alloy’s properties and offer a level of riding previously impossible without carbon, and to pair it with the same high-performance gravel geometry and the race-inspired, saddle-position used on carbon Crux bikes. A longer reach provides better weight distribution for quick, confident handling, while a lower stack creates an aggressive position. With a 72 mm bottom bracket drop, we reach the perfect balance of agility and stability.

D'Aluisio Smartweld

D'Aluisio Smartweld – or DSW – is a patented engineering process that uses hydroforming for maximum precision at tubing joints, for better and stronger welds and, ultimately, a lighter frame that can be twice as strong as a traditional alloy frame. Our Smartweld technology helps us create a curved tube and bottom bracket in one piece for the Crux, reducing weight and boosting responsiveness.
