The Crux DSW is much more than the lightest alloy gravel bike ever made. We took everything we learned from creating the carbon Crux and made it in alloy, using our patented D'Aluisio Smartweld technology. We created the most capable, agile, balanced and responsive alloy gravel bike ever built for fast, fun, high-performance riding. And yes, it’s also the lightest. Some might call it a carbon copy, but we call it Crux DSW.

Lightweight

At just 1399 grams*, the Crux DSW is the lightest alloy gravel frame in the world. Together with our Fact12r carbon Crux fork and a performance-focused build, the Crux DSW weighs in at 9.37 kg on the scales: no alloy gravel bike can compete.

Capability

More clearance means more capability: that’s why the Crux DSW has the same tire clearance as the carbon version: 47 mm and up to 2.1" with 650b wheels. With its strong and lightweight alloy frame and wide-section tires, the Crux DSW can take you anywhere, and at full gas.

Responsiveness

Responsive when pedaling and compliant in the saddle. We used D'Aluisio Smartweld to highlight the properties of alloy and deliver a ride previously impossible without carbon, and combined it with the same high-performance gravel geometry and the same race-inspired riding position of the carbon Crux. A longer reach provides better weight distribution for quick and confident handling, while a lower stack creates an aggressive position. With a bottom bracket drop of 72 mm, we achieve the perfect mix of agility and stability.

D'Aluisio Smartweld

D'Aluisio Smartweld – or DSW – is a patented engineering process that uses hydroforming for maximum precision at tube junctions, resulting in better and stronger welds and, ultimately, a lighter frame that can be twice as strong as a traditional alloy frame. Our Smartweld technology helps us create a down tube and bottom bracket as a single piece for the Crux, reducing weight and amplifying responsiveness.
