Lower Link Assembly
The highly sculpted and optimized Lower Link (A) houses a Flip Chip (B) that adjusts the geometry and robust pivot axles (C) to practically eliminate lateral flex.
Upper Link Assembly
We use only high-quality Enduro MAX or TPX sealed bearings (A) and premium bolts (B) for our suspension assemblies. They are easy to torque correctly and to maintain, and we also offer free bearing replacement for vita.
One-Piece Swingarm
The VPP suspension uses a one-piece swingarm that eliminates the need for pivoti on it, creating a robust, indestructible rear end for precise tracking and superior performance.
CC Carbon
Santa Cruz offers high-gamma CC Carbon, which is lighter and paired with more premium suspension.
Carbon Mastery
The Sag window (A), the Glovebox (B) and the internal cable tunnels (not shown) demonstrate Santa Cruz’s expertise in combining practical functionality with carbon design and manufacturing artistry.

SRAM Eagle Drivetrain – Stronger, Better Shifting, Wireless
The new generation of the SRAM Eagle drivetrain, mounted on our CC Carbon models, is a robust, fully integrated and interdependent wireless drivetrain. Built around the universal wheel axle concept, the hangerless Full Mount interface creates a much stronger connection to the frame and the super-tough derailleur offers unprecedented strength. Shifting under load is possible thanks to X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating smooth shifts even under maximum effort. The new AXS Pods are extremely ergonomic and highly customizable, so shifting is easy and intuitive. It’s simply the most advanced drivetrain and quasi as tough as the mountain itself.

- 145mm VPP travel – Looking for something that climbs, descends and rips your local trails? Welcome the Hightower. 145mm of rear travel paired with 150mm up front is the perfect combination.
- Suspension sensitivity – Compared to the previous Hightower model, we have reduced anti-squat in the first 40% of the travel. This greatly improves suspension sensitivity both on climbs and descents by reducing chain influence on the suspension.
- Suspension consistency – The Hightower’s leverage curve is relatively linear, with added progression towards the fine of the stroke. This provides better bottom-out resistance with more consistent damping and support.
- Glovebox – Safely store essential accessori for your ride under a new high-quality latch and panel in the Hightower’s down tube. The Glovebox comes with a tool wallet and tube purse, designed for the frame to keep your gear close at hand.
- CC carbon frame – CC carbon frames use the best materials and manufacturing processes available, are made in our factory and come with a lifetime warranty.
- Sag window – A window allows easier setup of suspension sag. The dettagli are rounded out by an elegant mudflap to protect the rear shock, neat cable routing inside the frame and swingarm, and DT rubber protectors to fend off impacts.
- Flip Chip – In the low position, the compression rate diventa more progressive, particularly towards the fine of the travel, with a bit more bottom-out resistance. In the high position, the bike sits a little higher in its travel and offers the rider more mid-stroke support. Experienced and picky riders can tailor suspension behavior to their own needs and desires.
- Proportional geometry – Chainstay length and seat angle are matched to frame size, so every rider, regardless of height, gets the same balanced geometry. However, on tutte sizes, the head tube angle has been slackened to improve high-speed stability, the bottom bracket has been lowered to better support the suspension, and stack has been increased to favor modern handlebar setups.
