All this work does not stem from the ego of a designer, it was not simply thought to stand out on the market. Moving the lower link position and the shock now lower and more forward was essential to lower anti-squat for a wild bike like the Bronson. Anti-squat manifests when the push from your pedaling ends up stiffening the suspension. Every time you meet an obstacle, a bump, the chain, and thus the pedals, are effectively jerked backward. If anti-squat is insufficient, the bike will squat under the pedaling force. If it is too much, the bike will be “hard” and will not be able to absorb the irregularities encountered while under load. By shifting any of the VPP™ pivots a few millimeters in any direction, you achieve extraordinary adjustments to the ride quality. The lower VPP™ link is now positioned lower and slightly more forward to optimize anti-squat. The result is a sense of softness, unparalleled feel, and great traction.
