Check the rotor for wear and replace if necessary. Also verify the proper operation of the braking system.
Check that the friction surfaces of the pads and rotor are not contaminated by grease, oil, or anything that could reduce friction properties. Do not contaminate friction surfaces with fluids, oils, or greases that significantly reduce braking efficiency.
New pads should brake for at least 500 meters. The lever force should be light and progressively stronger to gradually achieve higher braking pressure.
