- The S-Works Aethos frame has been designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, light weight and style – so you can accelerate even on steep climbs, descend the most technical downhills, and still be comfortable during long Sunday rides. But you’ll ask, how did we do it? We reinvented the traditional road bike shape of the past, changing it slightly to optimize stiffness and balance without compromising weight or strength. With an entirely new layup, perfected over many decades, you get the lightest frame on the market (585 grams for the S-Works frame misura 56). The Aethos is more than a new bike, it is the beginning of a new generation.
- An ultra-light frame is useless if the ride characteristics do not inspire confidence. That’s why for the Aethos we sought the perfect mix of stiffness at the front and rear in relation to ride quality. By studying the flex and every minute detail of the carbon fibers, we learned a lot about how forces travel through the frame. Just a few pedal strokes will be enough for you to realize that the Aethos represents a new standard of handling.
- Every detail, from the derailleur hanger to the expander in the stem, has been designed with style, weight and strength in mind. We have also equipped it with the Alpinist carbon fiber seatpost to shave off even more weight and optimize ride characteristics – all for perfect handling.
