We did not neglect performance, and the Aethos is the lightest bike in its category, but there have been no compromises in terms of style. Aethos, countless calculations for one single purpose – perfect ride quality. If you pair the lightest frame in the world with the 12-speed SRAM’s RED eTAP AXS groupset and ultra-light Roval Alpinist wheels, your ride will be perfectly balanced, leaving nothing to chance in terms of performance.

• The S-Works Aethos frame has been designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, light weight and style – so you can accelerate even on steep climbs, descend the most technical downhills and still be comfortable during long Sunday rides. But you may wonder, how did we do it? We reinvented the traditional shape of racing bikes from the past, changing it slightly to optimize stiffness and balance, without compromising weight or strength. With an entirely new layup, refined over many decades, we obtained the lightest frame on the market (585 grams for the size 56 S-Works frame). The Aethos is more than a new bike, it is the beginning of a new generation.
• An ultra-light frame is useless if the ride characteristics do not inspire confidence. That’s why for the Aethos we searched for the perfect mix of stiffness at the front and rear in relation to ride quality. By studying the flex and every tiny detail of the carbon fibers, we learned a lot about how forces pass through the frame. Just a few pedal strokes will be enough for you to realize that the Aethos represents a new standard in ride quality.
• Every detail, from the derailleur hanger to the expander in the stem, has been designed with style, weight and strength in mind. We also included the Alpinist carbon fiber seatpost to shave off further weight and to optimize the ride characteristics – all for perfect handling.
