The trend toward wider tires continues to increase and ever lower tire pressures pose new challenges for rims. Sidewall protection is also an issue on narrow rims with wide tires. Hope is addressing this need with the new Fortus rims. The welded rims are made of 6061 aluminum. The Fortus 30 has greater strength thanks to two additional hollow chambers. The spoke holes are equipped with eyelets for easy wheel building and improved durability. During the optimization of the rim profile, of course, the tubeless capability was also preserved. The installation of tubeless tires is as easy as with all other HOPE rims.
