The entire world travel is pointless without proper shock tuning and kinematics. For the new Stumpjumper EVO design, we prioritized performance in kinematics. Applying the lessons learned during Enduro development, plus over 1,000 hours of field and lab suspension development, not only did we improve the Stumpjumper’s pedaling performance, but we made it more capable, agile, and lively. We increased anti-squat so the suspensions resist pedaling bob better, and we further improved impact performance on sharp jolts. In short? This thing destroys trails, not legs.
The new Stumpjumper EVO’s S-Sizing geometry is the most progressive yet. Long, low, slack fork, short offset, steeper seat-tube angle: these are the prerequisites for modern progressive riding. But not everyone jibs the same way, which is why the new Stumpjumper EVO geometry is fully adjustable with six different settings. You can adjust the BB height by 10 mm, you can adjust the head angle by two degrees, and you can make these adjustments independently. Finally, if you want to go full mullet mode, the EVO lets you run a 27.5" rear wheel paired with a 29" front wheel.

REFERENCE FRAME: To achieve maximum speed through perfect power transfer efficiency and ultra-precise handling, our team of engineers set a new standard in torsional rigidity and bottom bracket movement. The dual-diamond layout is the most sophisticated in Specialized history, supporting the goal of rigidity by integrating the shock as a structural element.
FAST SUSPENSIONS: The Specialized Ride Dynamics Team developed revolutionary technology for the Epic World Cup to give it the efficiency and responsiveness of a hardtail, plus the control and capability of a full-suspension bike. The RockShox SID Deluxe WCID (World Cup Integrated Design) with independently adjustable positive and negative air springs delivers the “snap” of a hardtail while providing the lightweight feel that conquers the terrain and lets you tailor the setup for a specific course or personal preference.
BEYOND ITS CLASS: The 75 mm of travel on the Epic World Cup behaves as if it were much more. When the bike is ridden in firm mode, it offers the same positive travel as a bike with 100 mm of travel set with a 25% sag. The optimization of air volumes and damping characteristics allows the Epic WC to manage impacts like a bike with more generous travel. The MegaJounce dedicated pad provides robust end-of-stroke support to handle the harsh impacts.
BRAIN: While the revolutionary SID Deluxe WCID shock provides the perfect mix of absorption and firmness on the rear triangle, in the fork the BRAIN is alive and well, with Position-Sensitive technology and 15 mm sag, without the need for lockout or levers to actuate.
LIGHTNESS: With a frame weight of only 1765 grams (painted, including shock and hardware), the Epic World Cup is the lightest on the market. - BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY: By optimizing the Epic 8’s kinematics, the Specialized Ride Dynamics Team reduced pedal-assist movement by 20% while keeping the suspensions active for more effective impact management. This enables the rider to maintain a more efficient pedaling position. The result is the most efficient dual-suspension we have ever made.
- MORE WITH LESS: With the Epic 8 we did not add a single gram of weight to improve its characteristics. All models now feature SWAT 4.0 and an integrated headset retainer to prevent frame damage in case of slips.
