GENIE—The flying carpet: The biggest innovation on the Stumpjumper 15 is GENIE. This air-sprung, patent-pending technology we invented fulfills three wishes of every cyclist: the feel and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out resistance than a standard air spring, and an adjustable platform for a playful feel.
THE 'GENIUS': GENIE combines the linear stiffness of a coil spring that improves control through the “hit zone” with the progressive curve of air spring at the end of travel to prevent bottoming out. Truly, it’s the best of both worlds—coil and air—with extra adjustment range. Say goodbye to compromises and welcome the future of suspension.
WHAT TRAVEL?: With grip-force management better by 16.3% than a traditional air-sprung shock, GENIE ensures the Stumpy 15 works like a bike with more travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 (rear travel 145 mm) and our Enduro (170 mm travel) both use 101 mm of travel to absorb a 1080 N impact.
GO-ANYWHERE TRACTION: Field testing shows that the Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE provides 57% better traction than a standard air-sprung shock because GENIE offers flexible performance similar to a coil spring, keeping the wheel in contact with the ground longer than a typical air spring.
GOODBYE BOTTOM OUT: 39% fewer bottom-out events than a standard air spring. With big impacts, you’ll benefit from the progressive curve in the last 30% of GENIE’s travel. Thanks to its two-stage behavior, GENIE reduces the frequency and gravity of bottom-out events.
PERFECT GEOMETRY: The geometry of this bike offers great clearance when needed, agility on tight sections, and climbing efficiency. The large cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and cornering control. The low bottom bracket, relaxed head angle, and optimized fork offset promote stability even on technical terrain.
YOUR WAY: The Stumpjumper 15 perfectly integrates geometry adjustment, making it the most customizable trail bike ever. Six distinct geometry settings allow you to fine-tune performance for any style and terrain. The head angle and bottom bracket height can be precisely adjusted to ensure stability or liveliness.
WHEEL CHOICE: With our aftermarket links you can choose large wheels for both front and rear, or you can run a 27.5" rear wheel for more responsive, playful handling. Whatever you choose, the geometry remains unaffected.

DT Swiss 350 hubs: Equipped with the renowned DT Swiss 350 hubs, these wheels deliver great reliability and high-level performance. The hubs feature 36t Star Ratchet internals and are compatible with 11-speed Shimano bodies.
Sapim D-Light Straightpull spokes: The Sapim D-Light Straightpull spokes ensure greater stiffness and strength. With a radial/second (2:1) spoke pattern on the front and second (1:1) on the rear, these wheels offer great stability and responsiveness.
