The new Tech 4 lever has changed a lot, not only in terms of appearance. Hope has also taken a big step forward in technical specifications. The expansion reservoir has been enlarged and redesigned. Thanks to the new design, the Tech 4 brake lever can deliver 30% more braking power. For a particularly light lever feel, the spring rate has been reduced and a guide for the brake piston is used. The ease of movement is supported by an industrial ball bearing at the hinge point. The brake lever has become longer for better modulation and greater control. As before, lever width and the bite point can be adjusted without tools. The two-piece clamp for mounting to the handlebars simplifies installation, as nothing needs to be removed from the handlebar for installation.
The Hope E4 brake caliper, very rigid yet finely machined, is ready for anything. Elevated braking performance, excellent modulation, and a great cooling system that reliably locks in even heavier riders on the most challenging terrain. The calipers, milled as usual from T6 2014 aluminum, are the result of development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This allows for reduced weight, improved aesthetics, and the ideal partner for your rides. Sealed bleed nipples allow easier maintenance.

S-Sizing is based on what counts, rider height and riding style, not horse power. The ASR is back. We have never built a lighter full-suspension bicycle, but this one is only half the story. Bring the correct suspensions to proper mountain bike races. The race type that requires skill, not just lungs.The new ASR marks the widest carbon project we’ve ever tackled. It produced the lightest full-suspension bike in our history, updated the flex-fiber layup design to meet today’s cinematic standards, provided proper setup, an explosive sensitivity to small bumps, insane traction, and 100% usable travel.Customized blade shapes, critical material choices, smart drapery methods, and smooth transitions between each carbon sheet eliminated redundant carbon, offering radical strength for ultra-light weight. Such an ambitious program, based on in-depth carbon analytics, is a novelty for Yeti.We aimed to eliminate carbon redundancy everywhere, not just where it was easy. Our more than 20 years of experience with carbon told us we could remove solid volume at the pivot points and still exceed cross-country requirements without any performance or bearing longevity drawbacks.Another objective of the ASR was to design every frame with the same ride characteristics, giving every rider the same feel, regardless of size. Because the ASR uses single-layer carbon layups to eliminate redundant carbon, every sheet had to be cut with precision. Boring? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely yes. This allowed the specific size to be tuned at a much more sensitive level, and also precisely match the frame’s torsional stiffness and bending profiles.Back in 2003, our flexible-fork design represented a decade-long approach to full XC suspension. Today, the incarnate ASR considers the relationships between leverage ratio, link sizes, layup material properties, and modern short-travel shocks to offer XC-specific, responsive, efficient, and surprisingly light suspensions.Unlike the conventional headset bolt positioning method for longer-travel applications, the ASR’s pivot points are positioned so that the existing tube walls constitute a significant part of their shape and structure. To further reduce redundant carbon and save weight.The ASR features an almost linear progression curve to offer the maximum balance of efficiency in the suspension’s mid-stroke, where XC riders spend most of their time. But with 20% sag, it offers sensitive small-bump compliance typical of longer-travel bikes. Additionally, the last 1/4 of travel is designed to increase ramp, so the strongest hits and aggressive race lines don’t knock the bike off line.
BICYCLE YETI ASR ULTIMATE MAIN FEATURES:
Secure closures at the frame’s entry and exit eliminate noises and rubs. The external brake routing from handlebar to head tube makes shifting easier, and there’s no aerodynamic advantage to concealing them.
On muddy race days, the integrated rear fender keeps debris from hindering suspension movement. It weighs almost nothing. It’s a frame feature that’s noticeable only when it’s not there anymore.
The Hangerless interface creates the most robust and precise shifting, allowing Eagle Transmission derailleurs to be mounted directly on the wheel hub and to engage on both sides of the frame. But the Hangerless Interface is also perfect for previous drivetrains, thanks to the included Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH).

REFERENCE FRAME: To achieve maximum speed through perfect power transfer efficiency and ultra-precise handling, our team of engineers set a new standard in torsional rigidity and bottom bracket movement. The dual-diamond layout is the most sophisticated in Specialized history, supporting the goal of rigidity by integrating the shock as a structural element.
FAST SUSPENSIONS: The Specialized Ride Dynamics Team developed revolutionary technology for the Epic World Cup to give it the efficiency and responsiveness of a hardtail, plus the control and capability of a full-suspension bike. The RockShox SID Deluxe WCID (World Cup Integrated Design) with independently adjustable positive and negative air springs delivers the “snap” of a hardtail while providing the lightweight feel that conquers the terrain and lets you tailor the setup for a specific course or personal preference.
BEYOND ITS CLASS: The 75 mm of travel on the Epic World Cup behaves as if it were much more. When the bike is ridden in firm mode, it offers the same positive travel as a bike with 100 mm of travel set with a 25% sag. The optimization of air volumes and damping characteristics allows the Epic WC to manage impacts like a bike with more generous travel. The MegaJounce dedicated pad provides robust end-of-stroke support to handle the harsh impacts.
BRAIN: While the revolutionary SID Deluxe WCID shock provides the perfect mix of absorption and firmness on the rear triangle, in the fork the BRAIN is alive and well, with Position-Sensitive technology and 15 mm sag, without the need for lockout or levers to actuate.
LIGHTNESS: With a frame weight of only 1765 grams (painted, including shock and hardware), the Epic World Cup is the lightest on the market. This lightness translates into explosive accelerations, climbs with maximum efficiency, and surprising handling. The sum of these features is speed. We managed to design a frame so light yet rigid thanks to what we learned in the Aethos design, particularly with respect to carbon layup.
