Hope has also taken a big step forward in terms of technical properties. The expansion reservoir has been enlarged and redesigned. Thanks to the new design, the Tech 4 brake lever can transmit 30% more braking power. For a particularly light lever feel, the spring rate has been reduced and a guide for the brake piston is used. The ease of movement is supported by an industrial ball bearing at the pivot point. The brake lever has become longer for better modulation and greater control. As before, lever width and adjust point can be adjusted without tools. The two-piece clamp for attaching to the handlebar simplifies installation, because no parts need to be removed from the handlebar for mounting. The V4 caliper is very rigid with large cooling fins. High braking performance, excellent dose and thermal sizing, reliably stopping even heavier riders on the more challenging terrain. The calipers, milled as usual from T6 2014 aluminum, are the result of development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This allows weight reduction, improved aesthetics, and the ideal partner for the technological lever. Sealed purge nipples allow easier maintenance and the extended fluid outlet simplifies the line routing. The brake pads can be easily removed from the top and removing the wheel during gear changes is unnecessary.
