The new generation of PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in the PIRELLI portfolio, as well as being the first tubeless-ready tire entirely made in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing involves the use of aramid-reinforced compound that coats the inner layer of the tire, improving both rolling efficiency and tire resistance. Result: a less rigid but faster tire. The compound also maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance PZERO tires in the range.

• The tread of P Zero™ Race TLR is an evolution of the P Zero™ Velo design: several seasons of research and development on World Tour roads have led to a new tread that improves the bicycle’s behavior in every weather condition.

TECHNOLOGIES

• SmartEVO Compound: The racing formulation for street use more advanced than ever, born from Pirelli’s experience in top motorsport competitions and from the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposing characteristics, such as grip and rolling efficiency. The ternary blend of polymers with “intelligent” behavior characteristics as the basis for the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound enables better grip on dry and wet surfaces, while improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance mix tailored for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local races or World Tour events to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is for exclusive use with the P ZERO range.
• SPEEDCORE: The most performing tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range uses a layer of aramid-reinforced compound that coats the inner tire lining, enabling air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant due to the presence of aramid, yet less rigid and faster, thanks to greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a 120tpi Nylon fabric and an anti-puncture layer, also made of aramid.
