The new P Zero Race TLRs are the first PIRELLI product with tubeless technology made entirely in Italy, at the new Bollate factory.

The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in the PIRELLI portfolio and also the first tubeless tire entirely made in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing provides the use of a blend mixed with aramid that coats the inner layer of the tire, improving both smoothness and tire resistance. Result: a tire that is less stiff but faster. The compound also maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance PZERO tires in the range.

TECHNOLOGIES

SmartEVO Compound

The racing formulation for street use ever more advanced, born from Pirelli’s experience in top Motorsport competitions and from the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and smoothness. The ternary polymer mix with “intelligent” behavior characteristics as the base of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound enables better grip on dry and wet conditions, while also improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance blend tuned for the most modern disciplines of cycling, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is exclusively for the P ZERO range.

SPEEDCORE

The most performing tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range foresees the use of a mixed aramid-infused compound layer that coats the inner layer of the tire, enabling air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant, thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less stiff and faster, due to greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a 120tpi Nylon cloth and a puncture layer, also in aramid.
