The new P Zero Race is the first Pirelli product made entirely in Italy, at the new Bollate factory.

P ZERO™ Race is designed to offer all the benefits of tubeless technology in a versatile, race-ready tire that outperforms any bicycle tire made so far, including tubulars. P ZERO™ Race combines the advantages of tubeless technology with a round all-round cycling tire for intense training sessions and races. The TechBELT Road carcass improves puncture protection without adding weight, while the special SmartEVO Compound blend enhances grip on both dry and wet asphalt compared to our previous cycling compounds.

SmartEvo compound
Racing formulation for the most advanced road use ever, born from Pirelli’s experience in top Motorsport competitions and from the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEvo Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposing characteristics, such as grip and rolling resistance. The ternary polymer blend with "intelligent" behavior characteristics forms the basis of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound, allowing better grip on dry and wet surfaces while improving puncture resistance. SmartEvo Compound is a high-performance blend designed for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEvo is exclusive to the P ZERO range.

TechBELT Road
120 and 60 tpi carcass with the addition of a nylon puncture protection layer under the tread makes it an extremely reliable configuration capable of delivering high comfort levels for all uses, from training to daily commuting. The TechBelt Road structure is exclusive to the P ZERO range.

Optimized for modern 19C wheels
Pirelli P Zero Race has been developed and optimized for new rims with an internal channel 19C; best performance is achieved based on wheel size and rider weight to calculate the optimal operating pressure. Due to construction and adaptation to current standards, each size of P ZERO Race features a wider tread than the corresponding P ZERO Velo: a broader and longer footprint, benefiting rolling efficiency, puncture protection, and cornering control.
