The new Roval Rapide Cockpit is much more than the fastest way to reach the finish line. It is the fastest attack weapon we have ever made, with major aerodynamic gains, shaving a further four watts from the already super-fast combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem. But to provide a truly winning advantage it takes more than pure aerodynamics. The goal for the Roval engineering team was simple: the Rapide Cockpit had to be the fastest handlebar we had ever made, with no compromises. It is aerodynamic, light, stiff and designed in collaboration with the best athletes in the world and our Retül Fit experts, in modo that you can grab the victory.

• AERODYNAMICS: removing the connecting components between the stem and the handlebar allowed us to design the handlebar profile in modo alare. We optimized this airfoil to provide maximum advantage in aria clean at speeds found in long solo breakaways and also in all-out World Tour sprints. While an improvement of four watts may seem small, it results in an advantage of 32 cm in a 250 m final sprint. When races are won by throwing the bike, this is a winning difference.
• LIGHT AND STIFF: By removing the connecting components of the stem with the handlebar, the Rapide Cockpit is 50 grams lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) than the combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem. Made from premium alto modulo carbon fiber, which offers the ideal stiffness for the biggest and fastest sprinters in the World Tour, the Rapide Cockpit has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system we have ever made.
• POSITION: The drawback of one-piece cockpits has long been positioning, but we worked with our Retül Fit professionals and top athletes to ensure that quasi every rider can find their correct position in sella. We offer 15 diverse combinations of stem and handlebar, all at -6 degrees, thus covering most racing positions. The radius from the tops to the drops has been sculpted for wrist freedom of movement both out of the saddle and tucked in an aerodynamic position, while the curvature and flare reflect our favorite Rapide handlebar.
• Designed with an aerodynamic profile for a 4-watt advantage compared to a traditional aerodynamic handlebar.
